The Thirteenth Offer closed successfully!
Dear Shareholders,
Thank you for your investments in FarmWorks. Investors in the Thirteenth Offer and those who invested in 2019 and 2014 will receive Equity Tax Credit Certificates to apply to your 2023 Income Tax and new RRSP investors will receive tax deferral information from CWCF.
Please visit FarmWorks website to keep up to date with all the FarmWorks people who are growing Nova Scotia's food economy using the money you have invested. Please tell others about the many benefits of supporting local producers!
The thirteenth offer raised $474,000 for an overall total of $5,683,300 and only 9.2% of investments have been redeemed over twelve years, primarily by people collapsing RRSPs. Rather than redeeming FarmWorks shares at age 71, especially if part-way through a five-year term, it may be convenient for RRSP holders to switch to non-registered shares that continue to be invested in FarmWorks.
To date over $9.5 million has been loaned to 162 qualifying businesses that are helping to increase the economic, health, social, environmental, and other benefits that result from producing and eating Nova Scotian food. Loan recipients are carefully chosen by the Board to balance risk and achieve strategic goals: increasing the supply of food, creating and maintaining jobs and stimulating the economy, supporting people and the environment. FarmWorks Clients adapted to COVID 19 and are adjusting to input costs and climate-related challenges as they grow to provide for their clients and their communities.
Your purchases from FarmWorks clients are greatly appreciated when you visit their farms, stores, and restaurants. Please keep the Map of Loan Recipients close at hand!
