Neil and Cheryl MacLean opened The Marmalade Motel in April 2021, amidst a turbulent global pandemic. In it’s second year of operation, the Marmalade Motel has established itself with tourists and locals, as a destination to unwind and explore the Eastern Shore of Nova Scotia. Located in the quiet town of Port Dufferin, about 90 minutes from Halifax, the Marmalade has captured the hearts and imaginations of millennials across the Maritimes and beyond. With private balconies, ocean views, many guest amenities and excellent hospitality, the motel has experienced tremendous growth.
The restaurant is set inside a 1000sq ft geodesic dome, overlooking the Atlantic Ocean. This 25-seat restaurant will allow our guests to enjoy an 8 course, prix fixe, locally sourced menu that will reflect the abundance and variety of Nova Scotian food, including seafood, produce and meats.
