The Canteen and Little C

Our menu is influenced by classic French, Italian and traditional Nova Scotian cuisine – with a little bit of Owner and Chef, Renée Lavallée’s magic thrown in.

At The Canteen and Little C, we believe that everyone deserves a well-crafted meal, made with love! This is why we serve meals that are made with the best quality local, seasonal ingredients. We strive to serve top quality meats that have been raised humanely and sustainably, and all of our meat, eggs and fish are carefully sourced by local Nova Scotian producers. Our breads are baked in-house on a daily basis, and we make our own pickles, sauces and slaws from scratch. We also serve a variety of our favorite Nova Scotian wines and craft beers!
