The Flying Apron Inn & Cookery, Summerville

The Flying Apron Inn & Cookery is owned and operated by partners Melissa and Chris Velden.

We originally launched the Flying Apron in 2011, and in 2014 we found our new home along the beautiful Kempt Shore in Summerville, Hants County.

Open year-round, the Flying Apron Inn and Cookery offers honest, local food in our restaurant, charming accommodations in our 4-star Inn, and culinary education in our cooking school. At this location you will also find our gourmet food and gift shop, art gallery, as well as a used bookstore under our roof.

In addition to our operations in Summerville, guests can enjoy the dinner of a lifetime by dining with us on the ocean floor at the beautiful Burntcoat Head Park! These dinners are held throughout the summer months and are by advanced reservation only. The summer of 2017 is currently booked, so if you’re interested be sure to join our notification list to be the first to hear about 2018 dates!
